In this chapter of the complete eToro guide to trading, we will start with the basics, which is registration. We will see step by step how to register in eToro for free and how to choose a demo account to practice without making any deposit.
The first thing to do is access the eToro page and then click on the Register Now button.
Registration Form
After clicking on the “Register Now” button, the actual registration begins. Registration is quick and easy as it requires little data and a few seconds. As you can see from the image below, to access the platform, you will be asked for your name, nickname, username (of your choice), email address, password (of your choice) and phone number. To continue, you must accept the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Risk Warning. Finally, just click on the Create Account button.
Enter the platform
After clicking on “Create an account”, you will enter the platform where you will see a welcome message above, inviting us to click on the “Complete Profile” button (located on the left) to complete the registration. This isn’t necessary at first, so for now let’s continue our exploration of the platform and think about the profile later (we’ll talk about it at the end of this page).
Clicking the little x in the top right closes the welcome message, and just to the left is the Complete Profile button. Otherwise, below is a very interesting button.
Demo account etoro
This little button with the word “REAL” means that the platform is in real mode at that moment. By clicking on the same button, you can see another option (see below).
By selecting “Virtual Wallet” you go to the demo account. With an eToro demo account, you can practice a risk-free virtual money wallet in order to enjoy testing the platform or learn how to use it before making any deposits.
Once you select the “Virtual Wallet” option, a window opens announcing that you are switching to your virtual wallet and that trading activity will be performed with virtual money. To complete the transition to the virtual account, simply click on “Go to Virtual Wallet”.
After clicking this button, go to the demo account . Now we can look at the platform.
etoro platform
In the second chapter of the guide, we will analyze all the details of the eToro platform , which we will reveal at the moment with a small overview. As you can see, its graphics are very beautiful and it shows the symbols of each tradable financial instrument as well as all its real-time data including a small chart and sentiment level. On the left are the items for accessing the different sections of the platform, which we’ll explore in the next chapter.
Below, we highlight virtual portfolio assets that can be traded in a risk-free exercise mode.
Complete etoro verification
If you want to start trading real money consistently, you will need to complete the verification process. These are just some of the data you need to start trading with real money. As specified in the letter, upon registration, you can trade with a real account with a capital of less than 2000 euros.
By clicking continue, you will be taken to the verification form which also includes the CySEC questionnaire.
eToro is a multi-asset investment platform. The value of your investments may go up or down. Your capital is at risk.
